SECOND BEST SHOW

Here are a few images of my work at the Second Best Show t the Rag factory. I set up a system where people anonymously wrote a confession on a screen printed souvenier t-shirt, the t-shirts were then mixed up and given out at random to people that had taken part. All 60 of the shirts went, in what turned out to be a fun, sometimes shocking event.

The best/worst confession I read was: "When I was 5 I hated my pet rabbit, so I broke It's leg."
A conversation starter, i'm sure you'd agree.

WHAT?

Here is an email I recently received from the ink club - an online discount ink cartridge company (quite good deals - check them out) but why oh why are they offering a manicure set with each order? Brilliant. Print off some family photo's and get those cuticles in order at the same time.

NOTHING OUT THE ORDINARY HERE...

Mixed reviews about this book I read recently. Part of me thought it was super, but a bit of me thought it was normal. Lots of pictures, for an easy read!

JAMES BROWN. RAY CHARLES. ARETHA FRANKLIN...

Another amazing flier picked up in San Fran. It's so bad, it's brilliantly good. Reassuring to know that if I did indeed injure my soul, I could pop into Master Sha's Soul Healing Centre! R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

IN STORES NOW.

Picked this up in San Francisco. Why you'd advertise a calender on a flier is lost on me, but what the hell, im going to get my top off, shave my head and strike some poses.

ON THE DOORSTEP.

I recently received this direct mail campaign form the local Liberal Democrats. It arrived in a hand written envelope, synonymous with an invitation or something personal and of importance, like a birthday card etc. This had my attention. 'How strange!' I thought, it's not my birthday. I was excited. Unfortunately, upon opening this delightful little envelope it became clear that this was just another piece of tacky, gimmicky, cheap political propaganda. A photocopied letter, in a handwritten envelope? Gah! The worst part for me is the pretend mistake at the start of the second chapter, truly cringe worthy.

I still voted for them though, it's only design, remember?
